Bishops' Audios

2008

At its quarterly meeting on January 5, 2008, our House of Delegates was pleased to welcome The Rev. Canon William (Bill) Gandenberger of the Diocese of San Joaquin, Canon to the Ordinary. He received a standing ovation for his own gracious remarks, before introducing The Rt. Rev. John-David Schofield, who spoke to the meeting by telephone and offered his blessing to Western Anglicans. We are pleased to here present the audio of Bishop Schofield's words of encouragement and blessing.

2007

At its quarterly meeting held October 6, 2007, the House of Delegates of the Association of Western Anglican Congregations unanimously approved the Association's organizational structure and plans for the immediate future. The 60 member House of Delegates has nearly equal numbers of clergy and lay members. The delegates represent 14 congregations with ties to the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone of South America (Dioceses of Argentina or Bolivia) or the Anglican Province of Uganda.

Addressing the meeting in person was The Rt. Rev. Evans Kisekka, Bishop of Luweero Diocese, Uganda. Telephoning-in to the meeting, separately, were Bishop William Atwood, representing the Southern Cone (Argentina); Bishop John Guernsey of Uganda; Bishop Frank Lyons of Bolivia, and Bishop-Elect David Anderson of Nigeria. Bishop-Elect Anderson is also the President and CEO of the American Anglican Council and Rector Emeritus of St. James Anglican Church, where the meeting was held.

We are pleased to present the audio of the words of encouragement and blessing by Bishops Atwood, Guernsey and Lyons and Bishop-Elect Anderson.
