Clergy Support
The Clergy Support Committee is a standing committee
of the Diocese that draws all of its clergy
together in fellowship and unity. The committee is
responsible (1) to identify and address the needs of
clergy; (2) to provide a clericus at least bi-monthly,
and (3) to encourage all clergy to actively
participate in the activities of the Diocese. The
chair is a clergy person but at least two of the
committee's members are from the laity, for their
ability to make suggestions and suggest resources from
their non-clergy backgrounds.
From the 1928 BCP: Ye shall also pray for the
ministers of God's Holy Word and Sacraments; for
Bishops, that they may minister faithfully and wisely
the discipline of Christ; likewise for all Priests and
Deacons, that they may shine as lights in the world,
and in all things may adorn the doctrine of God our
Saviour.
