Membership Obligations

The primary obligation of membership in the Association is the congregation's faithful and willing participation in our servant community of mutual respect, support, cooperation, shared theology and core values.  Each member congregation is expected to joyfully work with other congregations in at least one of the many ministries of the Association as "real people of God" similar to what early Christians described themselves to be.

The Association shuns the model of wealthy dioceses and top-down management in favor of the simple models of the early church, wherein bishops defended the faith, ministered, encouraged and when necessary, disciplined their clergy, did the work of an evangelist and planted churches.  This is the model of our Association and in a similar fashion it is expected to become the model for our congregations.

Therefore, there is limited financial obligation to membership in the Association.  Indeed, there is no required contribution at this time.  However, we are asking that member congregations contribute $100 for each delegate to our House of Delegates.  The number of delegates authorized for each congregation is stated in our Bylaws.

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe.  Heb 12:28
