Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of the Bishop, the President and twelve members of the House of Delegates who are elected to lead our congregations in a Godly community of mutual support and cooperation. The Executive Committee is the executive arm of our House of Delegates; it acts under authority delegated to it by the House of Delegates and is accountable to the House of Delegates for its management of the affairs of the Diocese.
The Executive Committee meets approximately monthly, though the Bishop, officers, and many others are actively managing the Diocese's affairs between meetings.
The Executive Committee appoints the chairpersons and the individual members of our various standing committees and ad hoc task groups, insuring thereby that ownership among our member congregations is truly shared.
The members of the Executive Committee are the directors of our corporation, the Diocese of Western Anglican Congregations, a California religious nonprofit corporation. They elect its officers. The Bishop is the Co-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer and a lay person is President/Co-Chairman of the corporation.
